Band

KrethX was started by John Logsdon and Ron Burgoyne in 2008 with the goal of making epic/fantasy metal where we can tell stories through our music.

John Logsdon
John has been playing guitar since he was nine. Though never formally trained, he has studied on his own and has a passing knowledge of theory.

He's been singing all along but only acted as lead singer a few times over 30 years. While he refuses to set the guitar aside in order to focus on vocals, he started taking singing more seriously at the inception of KrethX.

John also writes comedic fantasy and s.f. and spent roughly 20 years working in the games industry doing doing design, development, and production.

Ron Burgoyne
He started out playing guitar, but after he and John jammed for a while Ron picked up a drum set and starting knocking them senseless. Ever since he's given his main focus to the drums but he can still play quite well on the axe.

Ron lists his primary influences as Neil Peart, Vinny Appice, Nicko McBrain, Robert Sweet, and Peter Criss.

When he's not rocking out, Ron works as a carpenter and a motorcycle mechanic.
